Why Do I Celebrate CHRISTMAS?

Christmas is that one time of the year where we shouldn't have any excuses at all to remember who Christ is in our lives. He is the reason we live right now and He is the reason why we celebrate Christmas. It is okay to be happy about other things on Christmas day, just don't forget what and who it is for. Merry Christmas to all you!!!

Note: The video was recorded using my Iphone4S and I was trying as hard as I could not to cry the whole time I was singing that song. It's made me cry a ton before I even decided to create this video.

Dramatic Smokey Look Tutorial

I got a request from anajanemejia14 (https://www.youtube.com/anajanemejia14) to make a dramatic smokey look and so here it is. It may not be as dramatic as you expect it to be but it's what I can absolutely wear if I'll go for a night out. Thumbs up for more makeup tutorials!

Haul Part 1: Universal Traveller, St Louis, Elizabeth Arden, Wet N Wild, Benefit

When I started working in 2006, I didn’t have the luxury of spending my salary all to myself. I have so many responsibilities to my family that I ended up always buying only the stuffs that I need and not those that I simply want. I’ve been used to that setup until I got married and quit from my work. It’s only at the start of this year that I started buying things that I really want for myself and not just those that I need. You see, I turned 28 this year so that just totally made me a late bloomer in multiple levels. Hahaha.

So speaking of buying things that I want, this blog entry together with the other two coming after this one will all be about the stuffs that I’ve bought for myself for the past month, weeks and days…

I divided this collective haul into three parts because if I didn’t, this video will just be OH SO LONG! Filming this whole video took me almost an hour so cutting it down to fit a maximum 12-minute length video is really a difficult task. Hahaha.

As promised in the video, here are the photos of the stuffs I have mentioned:
really looks like a book!
but inside, it looks like a treasure chest, yay!

Bellabox Singapore: December 2012 Unboxing! (Christmas Edition)

First off, let me be the first one to greet you all a very Merry Christmas and an advanced Happy New Year! Speaking of Christmas, I'm quite surprised by how early I received my December Bellabox. Needless to say, I'm both happy and impressed. That is why I immediately filmed an unboxing video the following day.

I am really pleased with everything I got for this month. The size of the sample products they sent me for this month is slightly bigger than usual, so I got really ecstatic in this video. They even sent me a full sized product and two bonus products which are all very unexpected. They are really exceptionally generous this month. Hence, I'm a very happy camper right now!

Here are the list of the products I received and the description below each photo is exactly what's written on the card that it came with:

Providing immediate and long-lasting relief for hands for up to eight hours, this hand treatment is part of the classic cult products in the Eight Hour Cream series by Elizabeth Arden. Its key ingredients include Butylene Glycol, Dimethicone that keeps the skin moist and hydrated by attracting water to the skin. The formula is non-greasy and it's also quickly absorbed, leaving your skin feeling soft and moisturized.
Full size: 75ml / S$40.00
My Reaction: I'm already excited to use this and bring it wherever I go as its size is very travel friendly. Yay!
The Svenson Hair Corrective Serum balances hair and scalp for healthier hair by regulating the production of oil while soothing the scalp. To use, simply massage into scalp after shampooing.
5ml / S$2,700 for a box of 30 bottles
My Reaction: I'm in dire need of something that can aid me with my hairfall issues. I hope it does what it claims to do, but even if it can help my scalp tremendously, I'm not sure I can spend S$2,700 for a hair product. Hmmm...
The BodyTech Intense Trim Serum features a body contouring formula that serves to eliminates stubborn cellulite deposits while delivering a soothing effect to the skin. It contains a trio of botanical extracts (Centella Asiatica, Horsetail and Guarana Seeds) capable of breaking down fatty acids by significantly increasing skin's metabolism.
12ml / S$980 for a box of 14 tubes

My Reaction: This product really excites me coz I have baby fats around my belly area and I'm not the type of gal who excercise daily (LOL) so if this thing is gonna work for me... well, I don't know. Hahaha. I tried something like this several years ago and I just wasted my money on it coz it didn't work. I'm not sure if this thing will be worth that S$980.

Formulated with Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein and calcium, the OPI Nail Envy provides maximum nail strengthening for harder and stronger natural nails. It fixes severely damaged nails and resists peeling cracking and splitting.
15ml / S$43.90
My Reaction: I have very weak nails that easily break whenever I try to grow them longer. I really need this stuff and if it will do wonders to my nails then I'm not gonna think twice about buying it.
MeMeMe Lip and Cheek Tints are a great way to add a flush of colour to the lips and cheeks. Simply dab on the lips or along the cheekbones to instantly lift and brighten your complexion.
12ml / S$15.90
My Reaction: I got a full sized product! Wow! I've heard tons of great reviews about MeMeMe products and I just can't wait to try this baby right here. Oh yeah!
The Cellilux Deep Sea Secret Glacial Mineral Gel Mask contains nutrients and rare glacial water to reverse damage to the skin and rebuild skin's elasticity. It detoxifies, hydrates and exfoliates the skin; the result is brigher and youthful looking skin.
60ml / S$78
My Reaction: This is, I guess, my third time receiving a facial mask from Bellabox and I still haven't tried the first one. I've been busy and travelling a lot lately that I didn't find the time (and the mood, haha) to relax and use a sheet mask. But now that they've sent me a new one, I'm gonna go and try the very first one they sent me and probably I can do a comparative review -- well that sounds fun! Don't you think so?
(It's made of horsehair! Isn't it interesting?!)
My Reaction: This really made me smile. I mean I got five (5) awesome products, one beautiful bonus product and a surprise Christmas gift! How can it get any better than that?!

So if you're from Singapore and you're thinking of a good way to spend your $19.95 monthly, think no more and visit http://bellabox.sg/ and sign up for your first box now. Aside from the awesome and fabulous sampe products that they will send you monthly according to your beauty&skincare profile, they also have a reliable and very accommodating customer service, so you can rest assured that you're in good hands.
If you're not from here, you can also avail of Bellabox if you're from Australia. Here's their site: http://www.bellabox.com.au.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with Bellabox. I pay for this monthly subscription. All opinions are mine.

Random Vlog #2: An ORIGINAL SONG by thelatebloomer11

It hasn't been too long since my husband and I composed a song about letting go of someone you actually never had. And for those of you who have seen my videos and "might be" wondering about the song that always plays at the end of each of my past videos, well it's "that" song, hahaha.

So here's my video singing that song and I hope you all enjoy it! <3

I can't imagine how long it has been
When I first saw you it felt like a dream
Sitting by the stairs you seem like a king
I wonder how it's like if I were your queen
In just a short while the music filled the air
I was deeply fascinated by the waves of your hair
As you dance through the night I can't help but stare
Imagining it's my hands you hold dear and not hers...
Why is your smile so intoxicating?
Why can't I keep you off my mind?
Do I have to endure this kind of feeling?
Do I have to deal with this pain unending?
As I sip through my half-empty glass of wine
Truth eventually sinks within my spine
You look so happy and carefree in her arms
I can only love you in the realms of my mind...
Why is your smile so intoxicating?
Why can't I keep you off my mind?
Do I have to endure this kind of feeling?
Do I have to deal with this pain unending?
So here I am, trying to wake up from this fantasy
Finding the courage to face this reality
Though your voice echoes like a symphony
I have to let you go, coz there's never you and me
'Coz there's never you and me
'Coz there's never you and me

THINGS I LOVE - November 2012 Edition

I didn't try a ton of new products for the month of November, so I ended up loving just a few things. Here's my November Edition of Things I Love!

*Song at the end: There's Never You & Me (by: thelatebloomer11)

Products Mentioned:
Elizabeth Arden 12 E/S & 2 Blushes Makeup Palette
How to Look the Best at Everything by Benefit
Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss in Berrylicious
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Blushing Mauve

I didn't mention in the video, but I also got hooked with Tiny Tower for the whole month of November up to this date. I downloaded it after watching too many of Ingrid's vlogyear 2011. I first heard of the game from Elle Fowler or Allthatglitters21 on YouTube but I didn't pay much attention to it back then. However after watching one of Ingrid's vlogs where she said so much about Tiny Tower, I got really interested in it and immediately downloaded the app.

I didn't get the hang of it as quickly as expected I would, so I stopped playing it. Not until my hubby borrowed my phone and played it that I got interested again to try and play it. He also downloaded the app on his own phone and continued passing the time playing the game. I think he got more addicted to it than I did, LOL. I now have 21 floors while he has 40 already. Hahaha.

OOTD on Women's Fashion Week 2012 Singapore (Moiselle)

So I got invited to attend the Women's Fashion Week at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands last November 25th and the experience is really great! My friend Abbey and I had loads of fun and we really enjoyed watching the show and taking photos/videos of each of the models. What's even more fun was our preparation for the event.
I don't have a lot of dresses to choose from so I had to really think if I gotta buy a new dress just for this event. My hubby suggested that I wear the blue dress that I wore on my 28th birthday, and so I did. At first, I didn't think that it will look good, so I asked Abbey for her opinion. Good thing, she's a fashionista so she quickly gave me some tips on how to spice up my attire without having to spend so much money. And that's where the fun started.
She brought me to Bugis Village, and it's one of those places here in Singapore where you can really find a good purchase for a very favorable price.
So to perk my blue dress up a little bit, I bought this baby pink belt with this gold buckle. I'm not sure if you can see it clearly but the intricate design on the buckle made it special.
And because I have almost zero tolerance to cold, I gotta have some kind of blazer or shawl. We actually first bought a white blazer but when I got home that day and tried it on together with my blue dress, I didn't find it good together so I had to get a shawl the next day.
I love this vintage necklace!
These earrings are a little bit heavy, haha.
lovin' these bangles!
I also bought all of these accessories from Bugis Village - it really is a one-stop shopping place!
Shoes from MENDREZ/Women
my new Charles & Keith bag - RAWR!
I also don't own any small/clutch bag that I can bring to events like this so I had to buy one. Luckily, my hubby offered to buy me one and so this baby right here is part of his Christmas gifts to me. Yay!

Not too long ago, I created an Ice Queen Inspired Makeup Tutorial so when I attended the Women’s Fashion Week 2012 here in Singapore and saw Moiselle’s editorial campaign for their latest Fall Winter collection, it’s like telling me that I’m destined to see the show even before I received my official invite.

I am YouTube beauty junkie but I am still new in the beauty blogging industry, so when I got an invitation from Moiselle to watch the Women’s Fashion Week at The Shoppes at Marina Bay on 25th November (9PM), I got very ecstatic. The event is by-invite only, so I really felt honored that I have been selected. I have always dreamed of watching a live fashion show and now that it’s already happening, I can’t be any happier. Not only was I invited to the fabulous event, I was also allowed to bring a guest which just made the experience even way better than I expected it to be!

Unfortunately, my hubby is not in to this kind of events so last minute changes have been made. Good thing, my friend, Abby was available and went with me to the event in place of my husband, so all went well.
Look at my girlfriend's outfit! SMASHING HOT, isn't it?

And here's a photo taken by Abbey's fiance!

We were seated at the second row so we’re able to see each of the models clearly. By looking at each of the dresses/coats that they’re showcasing, I can’t help but think about the Ice Queen in Narnia.

The show is about to start...
This Fall Winter collection from Moiselle resembles a modern Ice Queen. The overall look of each of the pieces showcased is classy and elegant.

I love the one in the middle!

I love how they obviously paid much attention and thought to detail as that is one of the first things I always check when I’m buying new pieces of clothing.
elegant and sophisticated!

so classy!

It seems like each piece of clothing that they presented was created with such sophistication and serious dedication for intricate detail which for me made this Fall Winter collection a true work of art.
 absolutely stunning!
And they really saved the best for last as that white dress is what the words FABULOUS, DAZZLING, and SPLENDID stand for.
